Singapore Adventure Camp: "3 Days of Fun and Discovery in Singapore"

Have you ever wanted to go on a big adventure but felt a little bit nervous about it? That's exactly how I felt when I went on an amazing trip to Singapore with the Bangladesh Scouts. I never knew that those three days would change me in ways I never thought possible.

Imagine being a shy person who really wants to go on an adventure but is a bit scared to step out of their comfort zone. Well, that was me! But when the chance to join the 1st Asian Seaboree in Singapore appeared, an older scout encouraged me to give it a try. I didn't realise how much it would change me.

 Day 1: Exploring New Places

When the sun woke up on December 6th, 2019, I was in the middle of all the Singaporean action. They greeted me in their special way and then I joined up with a bunch of scouts from different parts of Asia. Our first job? To check out the famous Singapore National Stadium, a mix of different cultures and stories. Talking to the locals and doing challenges made me feel like I was getting better at talking to people, and that was helping me get over being shy.

Day 2: The Great Adventure

The next day was super fun as we went kayaking in the Johor Strait Sea, going between Malaysia and Singapore. We got caught in the rain, and as we paddled, the border between countries kind of disappeared, showing us an amazing view. Nighttime was super cool because we had a big party celebrating all our different backgrounds. We shared our awesome music, danced around, and showed off our cool traditional clothes. It was so much fun!

Day 3: Yay and Bye-Byes

The best part of our trip was when we did a really fun sailing race, and we represented Bangladesh and got 2nd place out of 9 countries. We were so proud! Then we had a whole day to show off how amazing Bangladesh is and make friends from other places. When it was time to leave, it was kind of sad saying goodbye, but we made memories that we'll never forget.

Reflecting on those three days, I realized that each challenge we faced and every friend we made during the 1st Asian Seaboree in Singapore was really special and had a big impact on my trip. It wasn't just a camp; it helped me discover more about myself. So, when you're unsure about taking a chance, remember that growth and change often come from stepping into the unknown.

In the end, my trip to Singapore wasn't just about visiting a new place. It was about discovering myself. By facing challenges, making friends, and experiencing different cultures, I became more confident and strong. Cheers to adventure and stepping out of our comfort zones!
